Gender and Tobacco Control: A Policy Brief
Abstract
This briefing looks at sex-specific differences in the effects of smoking, the incorporation of gender into tobacco control measures, and development of a gender-responsive infrastructure for tobacco control. A number of recommendations are made. It was published to provide national governments with a menu of evidence-based options for building or strengthening comprehensive and effective tobacco control programs, policies and interventions that address gender-specific needs.
