Abstract

These paper reports on the costs and benefits of compliance with the European Retailers’ Protocol for Good Agricultural Practice (EurepGAP) certification standards (for horticultural produce) for smallholders in Kenya, Zambia and Uganda, three countries at apparently different points on the continuum of export horticulture development.
