Abstract

This chapter presents a descriptive overview of the survey results regarding the FDI for 162 firms in South Africa (SA). The chapter starts by providing the background to FDI inflows into South Africa during the 1990s, and then turns to a discussion of the survey results, focussing on the sample and the parent firms first, then turning to entry and resource mobilisation, performance and impact of foreign investment.
