Abstract

Two datasets are provided:
1. Effective Tax Rates 1981-2008 - Excel spreadsheet with data for 27 developing countries.

  1. De-facto exchange rate classifications 1945-2010. Exchange Rate Arrangements Entering the 21st Century: Which Anchor Will Hold? (with Carmen M. Reinhart and Kenneth S. Rogoff). This comprises the following background material:
  • Monthly coarse classification, 1946:1-2010:12
  • Monthly fine classification, 1946:1-2010:12
  • Annual coarse classification, 1946-2010
  • Annual fine classification, 1946-2010
  • IMF official classification 1970-2010
  • Updated country chronologies: 1946:1-2010:12 with additional countries added to Reinhart and Rogoff (2004)
