Abstract

This article focuses on the political economy of the cotton sector in Burkina Faso, a landlocked Sahelian country facing climatic and ecological conditions which are not conducive to the development of agriculture. Nevertheless, Burkina Faso is cited as an example of success in the cotton sector.
