Abstract

The key findings and policy implications of a study to identify influences on sub-national variations in women's use of a health facility for childbirth within 6 African countries (Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Malawi and Tanzania) are presented. Variation was measured at the community (survey sampling area) and district (administrative area) levels.
