Abstract

The 2007 Kenyan elections gave rise to violent confrontations between ethnic communities. This Briefing reports on a survey of voter intentions, attitudes towards violence, corruption, performance of leaders, political party preferences, ethnicity and socio-economic characteristics conducted in the runup to the December 2007 elections.
