Engagements of Women's Movements with Religion: legal reform in Anambra State, Nigeria.

Abstract

This study examines the nature of women's engagements with religion in the campaigns for legal reform to protect widowhood rights in Anambra State, Nigeria, in order to explore the ways and extent to which religion facilitates or obstructs the attainment of women's rights.
