Abstract

A variety of institutions are tackling environmental challenges through governance mechanisms and initiatives at the city level. Focusing on issues ranging from housing, land policy and slum upgrading, to disaster risk reduction and participatory governance. A list is given of some of the key organisations and what they can offer to development actors in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
