Domestic Resource Mobilization in Sub-Saharan Africa: The Case of Tanzania

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to assess Tanzania’s performance in terms of mobilizing savings; to examine constraints to mobilization of savings in Tanzania; to examine opportunities for enhancing mobilization of savings; to discuss strategies for national policymakers and foreign donors to enhance DRM; and to make policy recommendations. It is hoped that this study will assist the government in designing policies to enable greater mobilization of domestic resources.
