Abstract

This presentation details SEACAP17, which aspires to identify suitable cost-effective methods of improving all-year access to the rural poor through low-cost locally resource based improvement of problematic lengths of road resulting in sustainable rural access roads. The project aims to: Improve methods of road construction; Improve all year access to rural poor; Utilise low-cost local resource-based methods; Identify cost effective community based methods; and Introduce previously trialled surfaces under SEACAP to Lao (PDR).
