Abstract

This is a report on the presentations and discussions in the Rural Transport Theme of the 'Asia on the Move' Energy Efficient and Inclusive Transport Forum held in Manila, Philippines on 9 to 12 September 2008 and sponsored by the Asian Development Bank, the Global Transport Knowledge Partnership and SEACAP. The forum programme consisted of plenary sessions that covered the broader transport issues and theme sessions on Climate Change, Rural Transport, Urban Transport, Governance, Inclusive Transport and Social Development, Road Safety and Finance.
