Abstract

The aim of the study presented here is to provide publicly accessible protocols for the economically and ecologically viable production of dihydroartemisinin and artesunate from artemisinin, to enable new entrants to the market to produce these drugs without paying for their own research or paying other companies for the use of their technology. The research done is described, and detailed descriptions are provided of the preferred protocols.
