Description of the system in Kundapur.
Abstract
This booklet describes the shrimp farming system used in Kundapur, Karnataka, India, and the studies carried out as part of project R7051 which investigated risk factors associated with white spot disease. Seventy ponds were studied and details were collected from farmers about the 1999/2000 production cycle and also about the previous 2 production cycles by questionnaire. Farmers' opinions and observations made by the researchers are included, and the results are briefly presented and discussed.
