Demand for Family Planning in Urban Pakistan.

Abstract

This working paper uses findings from a baseline survey conducted as part of the first phase of an evaluation of Marie Stopes Society family planning clinics in Pakistan. The evaluation project started in 1999. In this paper, the background to the study, study setting, methods, characteristics of the sample, contraceptive use, availability of family planning services, demand for family planning, conclusions, policy implications and references are presented.
