Abstract

This report provides a detailed account of NRSP project R7514. Information is provided on project objectives and methodology, the research area, the current practices of forest management and the constraints to developing effective monitoring systems, the monitoring system developed by the project for use by forest users, and recommendations for improvements in the monitoring systems of support organisations, such as the Department of Forests.
