CHIP Briefing 6: Promoting disadvantaged young people's employment - What can be done?
Abstract
Young people are more vulnerable to unemployment than any other social group, leaving them particularly at risk of poverty. This briefing reviews experiences from efforts to promote young people's access to decent employment. It recommends a combination of pro-poor growth and targeted programmes that address the specific barriers disadvantaged young people face in contemporary labour markets.
