CHIP Briefing 2: The role of cash transfers in tackling childhood poverty

Abstract

This briefing highlights how and why cash transfers - and social protection strategies more broadly - can make a highly effective contribution to the reduction of childhood poverty, and indeed already have in several countries. The briefing provides a set of key considerations and recommendations for decision-makers on choosing appropriate strategies and on the financing and delivery of these strategies.
