Case Study: Small hydropower scheme, Tehrathum, Nepal.
Abstract
An electrification project in Tehrathum, an agricultural district in eastern Nepal, is outlined. Background, financing, public-private partnerships, access to electricity, and livelihood benefits are summarized. It is suggested that the district provides an example of how private sector management by the public sector can increase quality of service.
