Abstract
Homeless International prepared this overview paper in June 2002, representing the culmination of the \"Bridging the finance gap in housing and infrastructure\" research project. The paper summarises the key conceptual and analytical findings of the research, and describes how these fed into the design of a new facility - the Community Led Infrastructure Financing Facility (CLIFF) - to support and scale-up innovative community driven housing and infrastructure developments. Homeless International, together with partners in India and Kenya went on to implement CLIFF with notable success in both countries.
