Abstract

This case study, available from www.homeless-international.org/bfg, concerns the Urban Poor Development Fund (UPDF) which was established in March 1998, to make affordable loans available to poor urban communities (who would otherwise be unable to access credit) to enable them to improve housing and settlements.
