Abstract

For the purposes of an analysis of state capacity, key indicators in the Bertelsmann Transformation Index (BTI) likely include ‘Stateness’ and the four components of the management index (International Cooperation, Consensus-Building, Resource Efficiency and Steering Capability). This document presents the performance of each of the potential country case studies (Kenya, Bangladesh and Cambodia) at the 2010 and 2008 levels.
