This report represents part of a research project aiming to assess the socioeconomic dimensions of aquaculture development in Africa. The information presented was collected as part of a study of the economics of aquaculture in Malawi, commissioned by the EEC for the Central and Northern Regions Fish Farming Project. The objective was to consider aquaculture development in Malawi in the context of conclusions reached from the main ODA-funded research based in Luapula Province, Zambia.
