Abstract

This poster presentation provides an overview of a RESYST funded research project in Gauteng province, South Africa, which uses an action learning approach to study the micro-practices (daily activities, routines, interaction) of health managers. It focuses on how these actors contribute to financial management processes at district level and draws out the implications for financial management, and efforts to strengthen governance processes at the district level in South Africa, and other low and middle income settings.
