Alleviation of malnutrition by Biofortification of crops

Abstract

This review discusses biofortification of different food crops like rice and maize. It is suggested that approaches like transgenics and plant breeding to improve the nutritional quality of food can reduce malnutrition and deficiencies of vitamins and minerals, thus improving human health.
