Abstract

The sixth annual report from the HIV Vaccines And Microbicides Resource Tracking Working Group documents investments in biomedical HIV prevention research from public, philanthropic and commercial sectors in 2009. The report discusses how funding levels remained stable overall, but that the unprecedented advances seen in HIV prevention research in 2009 will require stable resources from a greater diversity of funders in order to move promising candidates forward.
