Action and learning processes for common property forest management. An assessment of the current status and impacts of local action learning processes for common property forest management developed through a participatory action research project in Nepal.

Abstract

This document represents the final report of PD119, 'Action and learning process for common property forest management'. The report describes project activities and outputs, most notably an assessment of the adoption and/or adaptation of elements of a PAR process that was developed in an earlier NRSP research project. The report discusses the local variation in the adoption and adaptation of these processes among different project sites and this analysis provides further critical insights into the reasons for, and constraints to, participatory planning and monitoring. This is a follow-up study to R7514.
