Accessibility for the urban poor.
Abstract
This paper presents a review of empirical evidence on the role of transport in the livelihoods of the urban poor. The purpose is to examine the particular transport constraints of the urban poor, identify and assess interventions which have been targeted specifically at these problems, and hence identify where further research would be of value in developing urban transport policies which address these issues.
