Abstract

This article contrasts the childbirth experiences of two women in India - one with, and one without, access to proper healthcare. The feature is based on the article 'An Alternative Strategy to Reduce Maternal Mortality' by Anthony Costello, Kishwar Azad and Sarah Barnett, published in The Lancet in October 2006.
