A methodology for assessing rural livelihood strategies in West/Central Africa: lessons from the field.

Abstract

This presentation outlines a the methods used in a forestry project in West Africa, that had a research component to undertake socially differentiated assessment of the importance of NTFPs to people living in rural areas. It emphasizes the challenges of data management in the field.
