A Diagnostic Assessment of Business Environment Constraints Facing Mozambique's Forestry Sector

Includes recommendations for interventions to promote inclusive growth and sustainable management of forest resources

Abstract

The objectives of this diagnostic study are to:

  1. Identify sector-specific business environment (BE) constraints faced by enterprises in the forestry sector in Mozambique.

  2. Make workable recommendations to the Government of Mozambique, DFID and the World Bank for possible forestry sector-specific BE reform interventions that can mitigate binding constraints, promote inclusive growth and sustainable management of forest resources.

This research is part of the Business Environment for Economic Development programme.
