1 Plans reflect savings arising from pay restraint and the BBC World Service reclassification to a central government body from 2012-13 and move to Licence Fee funding from 2014-15.
2 The BBC World Service expenditure is included until 2013-14. The published accounts for 2014-15 have applied merger accounting rules to remove BBC WS from the published numbers. A reconciliation to previous years is included in Note 22.

5 Total departmental spending is the sum of the resource budget and the capital budget less depreciation. Similarly, total DEL is the sum of the resource budget DEL and capital budget DEL less depreciation in DEL, and total AME is the sum of resource budget AME and capital budget AME less depreciation in AME.
