Employees who spent their own money on costs necessary for their job can claim tax relief back for free from HMRC.
If eligible, tax relief can be claimed on work expenses such as:
- getting help towards workwear, uniform costs and tools
- travel costs
- working from home
- professional fees and subscriptions
- other work expenses
Employers and employees can also make use of the help cards to helping employees get the right pay faster.
