Our mission

The UK government does not have any permanent representation in Suriname. If you need emergency consular assistance you should call the British Honorary Consul on (00) (597) 402 558 or (00) (597) 402 870, or contact the British High Commission in Georgetown, Guyana.

We work to retain our strong engagement with Suriname and the UK’s allies in the Caribbean to achieve UK national objectives and support British business and nationals there. As a major donor and member of the EU, we support trade, help develop the economy and its ability to adapt to the challenges of climate change and natural disasters; increase security and reduce organised crime.
