Help from your council if you’re homeless or at risk of homelessness
Get help and advice from the local council if you’re homeless or about to lose your home.
There’s a different way to get help in Scotland and to get help in Northern Ireland.
Enter a postcode where you have a local connection. This might be where you’ve lived recently, have close family or work.
If you’re applying for housing support from a council in England
You do not need to have a local connection if you are:
- a current or former member of the UK armed forces
- a bereaved spouse or civil partner losing Ministry of Defence housing due to a service-related death
- a current or former Reservist with a service-attributed serious injury or illness
- a care leaver who is under 25
- a survivor of domestic abuse
