Vacancy details
Social Work England is a specialist body taking a new approach to regulating social workers in their vital roles.
This is a unique opportunity to use your skills and expertise to ensure that people receive the best possible support whenever they might need it in life.
We were established by statute and the law is the thread running through all our regulatory functions. This means that much of what we do as the regulator stems from our legislation – The Children and Social Work Act 2017 and the Social Workers Regulations 2018.
We are advertising the following lawyer opportunities:
Senior Lawyer (Corporate) - you will be responsible for providing legal advice across the organisation and you will work closely with colleagues in our finance and corporate services directorates, managing legal risk and helping to ensure that Social Work England operates in a legally sound way.
Senior Lawyer (Regulatory) - you will be responsible for providing legal advice in relation to our legislation, rules and policies. You will play a key role in advising and supporting teams on the quality assurance of registration procedures and as part of fitness to practise investigations. You will also lead and develop a small team of lawyers.
Lawyer - this is a unique opportunity to use your skills and expertise to ensure that people receive the best possible support whenever they might need it in life. You will be led by the Senior Regulatory Lawyer and provide sound legal advice across our organisation, particularly to our fitness to practise and registration and quality assurance directorates.
