Office access and opening times

On this page you will find information about disabled access to the British Embassy Seoul and our public holidays for 2022.

Disabled access

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office and this embassy are keen to ensure that their buildings and services are fully accessible to disabled members of the public. Wherever possible, we have made our buildings and services accessible. Where this is not possible due to security or other restrictions, we will endeavour to provide a service or access to a building in an alternative way to ensure equality of access for disabled people. To assist disabled visitors, we have set out below details of disabled access at this embassy.

General physical access

Our Security Guards will give every assistance to wheelchair users and those with limited physical mobility. Those with limited physical mobility may be unable to access the embassy compound via the security office. On such occasions, the guards will arrange for a staff member from the embassy to accompany the visitor.

The main entrance to the embassy is unsuitable for those with limited physical mobility. However, the rear entrance allows easy access for wheelchair users and others with limited physical mobility. Once in the embassy building, visitors, accompanied by a staff member, can use the lift to access all floors and the disabled toilet in the sub-ground area near Aston Hall. All our offices have level flooring with either carpet or other smooth surfaces. Lighting, during office hours, is good in all areas.

Parking facilities and full transfer space for wheelchairs are available with prior notice.

Access for visually-impaired or deaf/hard of hearing visitors

Guide dogs and Hearing dogs are welcome to accompany visitors to the embassy.

Contact us

If you need to visit us or use our services and feel that they may be inaccessible to you, please contact Sean Burns, Senior Management Officer, Tel: 02-3210-5500, who will find an alternative way of providing access for you.
