UKTI Gold award

In a ceremony appropriately hosted in the Egyptian Room at the British Museum, UKTI Chief Executive Nick Baird awarded the UKTI Egypt and Iraq teams Gold Awards for their dedication to meeting and exceeding targets and fulfilling commitments to customers during the recent troubles.

Deena ElKheiashy, chosen to represent the team at the Leadership Conference spoke movingly about how the team turned their homes into offices, embraced social media, and remained committed despite concerns about their own personal safety and that of their families. John Franck, UKTI Egypt director, commented that the award was richly deserved and endorsed by the many positive comments he had received from UK companies in Egypt.

Ambassador James Watt said: ‘We are all very proud of you. You deserve every bit of your success.’
