The event at the British residence was held on behalf of Pernod Ricard Hellas.

The Ambassador said:

Whisky is a legendary drink, adored by many legendary figures, not the least Winston Churchill. It has its own brand of wisdom . I am pleased to host Chivas Regal and Royal Salute prestige Scotch whiskies this evening at the Residence and I am inviting our distinguished guests to explore their history, heritage and exclusive taste.

The best Whisky is, of course, Scottish. It unlocks good humour and freedom of spirit. It’s always a pleasure to promote Scotland.

Christophe Lemarie, CEO of Pernod Ricard stated:

It is truly a honour for us to be able to offer the opportunity of discovering some of our best and most prestigious whiskies in such beautiful setting as the Embassy of the United Kingdom. As you may know, Pernod Ricard is the number two worldwide wine and spirits company, with internationally recognised brands of spirits and champagne.

The Embassy guests were offered a presentation of three Super Premium Whiskies:

  • Chivas Regal 18 year old

  • Chivas Regal 25 year old

  • Royal Salute 21 year old

Spirit consumption overall is focused mainly on the on-trade (60%), but Super Premium whisky is one of the most off-trade focused categories.
