The British Embassy Santiago needs to recruit a full-time Newton Fund Administrative Assistant. This exciting position is at the heart of developing a stronger and deeper relationship between the UK and Chile, an important priority for the UK government. This position is a key part of the UK’s ‘prosperity’ agenda – which focuses on economic issues broadly defined and aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship, for mutual benefit.

The successful candidate will provide administrative assistance on the Newton Fund, a new science and innovation fund to support collaboration between the UK and Chile. The UK is contributing £4m/year to the Fund for three years starting from 1 April 2014, with matched funding expected from Chile of an equal amount.
