The 2013, Indonesian AQUA Danone Nations Cup (DNC) team is ready to depart for London, England to participate in the DNC World Final 2013 - the world’s largest annual soccer festival for children aged between 10-12 years. Ready to face off against other talented teams from around the world 5-7 September. The matches will be played at the world famous Wembley Stadium.

The Indonesian representative, Putra Tugu Muda Soccer School (SSB) Team from Central Java, receives support at a pre departure event held at the British Ambassador’s residence in Jakarta.

British Ambassador to Indonesia, Timor-Leste and ASEAN, Mark Canning said:

It is a great pleasure for me to meet Indonesia’s future football stars competing in Danone Nations Cup at Wembley Stadium. Football, particularly English Premier League, is one of the most popular sports in Indonesia. Last month Indonesian soccer fans were entertained by performance of three of our famous football clubs such Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea. I hope you enjoy your visit to Britain whilst practicing your football skills. Wining is everyone’s dream, however the most important thing is we have fun and enjoy what we do.

President Director of PT AQUA Golden Mississippi Tbk Parmaningsih Hadinegoro said:

AQUA DNC national champion 2013 team had been practicing diligently and joyfully under the tutelage of Coach Timo Scheunemann. We believe, ‘The Young Eagles’ will compete with full sportsmanship and camaraderie as the Indonesian representatives in this world stage.

In this occasion, Parmaningsih further advised the AQUA DNC Indonesia 2013 team to remember to play without the burden of winning.

We want the children to not play under pressure at the DNC World Final; instead they can increase their match experience, make new friends from other countries, have fun in the competition, and bask in the City of London. We only hope that you fulfill your dreams of playing at the Wembley Stadium and make the nation proud.

Deputy Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs Djoko Pekik, who also attended the event, provided further support to the team:

On behalf of the people in the Ministry of Youth and Sports, I am very proud to be here amongst the children of Indonesia with a budding future in football. Danone AQUA’s initiative in organizing this football festival should be an example for other corporations to support the national sport. So, happy fighting and ‘keep’ Garuda on your chest.
