I expressed my condolences at recent loss of life of Lebanese soldiers and civilians in Arsal. I informed the Army Commander that the UK will work quickly to provide the Lebanese Army with additional ballistic protection for their infrastructure around Arsal.

I informed the Commander of this additional package of UK assistance for the army, and we discussed how this will meet their urgent requirements to reinforce the LAF’s ability to protect civilians and soldiers in and around Arsal.
