Commenting on Friday’s bomb attack in Bahrain, FCO Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Hugh Robertson, said:

The British Government condemns all acts of terrorism, including the bomb attack that killed policeman, Mahmood Fareed, in East Eker on Friday night. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and all those affected.

The British Government supports the process of constructive dialogue, reconciliation and reform, instigated by HM the King and led by HRH The Crown Prince. We urge all sides to support this process and the elections to be held later this year.
