Officers from the Chilean Ministry of the Environment participated in sustainable procurement workshop based on the British experience.
Officers from the Chilean Ministry of the Environment and Chile Compra participated in a sustainable procurement workshop prepared by British expert Barbara Morton.
This activity is part of the project “Sustainable criteria in the government´s public procurement: opportunities to reduce climate change impacts and integrate social issues” financed by the embassy’s Bilateral Fund. The project seeks to support the work of Chile Compra and the Ministry of the Environment by incorporating sustainable criteria to public procurement.
The activities of the capacity building workshop that took place on 27 November were based on sustainable procurement policy experience from the United Kingdom. Barbara Morton, Director of Sustainable Procurement Ltd., has a wide range of experience on this topic such as prior consulting projects for the British government and the United Nations.
