Chargé d’Affairs Ramadan message

On behalf of the Ambassador, Iain Lindsay and all the staff at the British Embassy in Manama, I would like to send my best wishes to all Muslims and particularly those in Bahrain, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. This will be my third Ramadan in Bahrain and I look forward to enjoying, once again, Bahrain’s wonderful tradition of Majalis.

Ramadan is a time for reflection, tolerance, forgiveness and charity towards those less fortunate or in difficulty. It is also a time when families and friends come together. I hope Bahrain’s leaders take the opportunity throughout this holy month to continue to engage in dialogue, promote trust and confidence between communities, encourage reconciliation and speak out against violence and in support of peace. Ramadan Kareem.
