Presenting the items, the Criminal Justice Adviser at the High Commission, Roger Coventry, said the Unit had in the past also received some specialised intelligence training from the UK Serious and Organised Crime Agency (SOCA). He said both the training and donation were efforts by SOCA to build the capacity of EOCO to deal with organised crime in Ghana.

The Human Trafficking Unit (HTU) of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) is at the forefront of Ghana’s fight against human trafficking particularly the trafficking of children and young persons, usually for domestic work, prostitution and slave labour.
