British business toast success in Venezuela

The British Embassy and the Venezuelan British Chamber of Commerce celebrated business achievements in 2012.

The British Embassy in Caracas and the Venezuelan British Chamber of Commerce recently joined forces to celebrate British business achievements in 2012 at the residence of the British Ambassador, Catherine Nettleton.

Guests were drawn from a wide range of British, international and Venezuelan companies operating in a number of business sectors, including GlaxoSmithKline, Astra Zeneca, Unilever, BAT, BT, Shell and Norton Rose.

Speaking at the event, Catherine Nettleton said that British exports to Venezuela had increased by 18% in 2011 and were up by 30% so far in 2012. Venezuelan exports to the UK in 2012 had also increased by a similar amount.
