BBC Media Action presented findings of the report "The Media of Iraq 10 years on" and led a discussion on the wider lessons learned.
On Wednesday 29 May, The British Embassy in Cairo organized a roundtable discussion on media assistance in the Middle East and North Africa.
20 senior Egyptian media experts, representatives of international organizations and media officers from embassies in Cairo participated in the discussion. HMA James Watt chaired the discussion alongside experts from BBC Media Action who began proceedings by giving a presentation on their recent report ‘The media of Iraq ten years on’ and asking what lessons from Iraq’s experience could be applied elsewhere.
