Zero emission vehicle summit

The zero emission vehicle summit is part of a raft of new measures to tackle both the causes and effects of climate change.

On 12 December 2017 at the One Planet Summit in Paris, the UK Prime Minister announced that the UK would host an international zero emission vehicle summit.

The summit will:

  • provide political impetus to accelerate investment in technology and infrastructure
  • provide opportunities to share learnings between countries that have more developed zero emission vehicle markets and those looking to grow their markets
  • help facilitate new multilateral and unilateral commitments by countries and industry on tangible action they will take to support the expansion of the zero emission vehicle market
  • enable progress to be made on international initiatives or regulations that could help facilitate the development of the global zero emission vehicle market

The first day of the summit will provide a platform for high-level speakers from government and industry. This will be followed by break-out panel sessions and workshops focused on specific issues, led by industry leaders.

The second day will be held in conjunction with the Cenex LCV, at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire.
