The agricultural market reports, which are based on surveys, provide weekly and quarterly average prices for clean cattle and sheep and for breeding animals, as well as for pigs, broiler chickens, potatoes and cereals in Northern Ireland.
The information in the Agricultural Market Report is also used by the food and farming industry for the purposes of lobbying Government and for making commercial choices related to local agricultural markets. The Agricultural Market Report data is available on an historical basis which facilitates academic research examining trends and market interactions.
